Chris Drury, Michael Jordan, Devin Hester, Troy Vincent, Lebron James, David Beckham, Marshawn Lynch, OJ Simson (Dyslexically). Often, it seems, that the best player on the team is wearing 23.

Honestly, if and when Tyler Ennis plays for the Sabres, I can see him being the 1st to wear 23 again...

Hmmm, how long before we pick up Dustin Brown from the Kings (an Ithaca guy) or Milan Hejduk from the Aves? Or Jeremy Williams from Toronto (who would want him?) or Tyler Kennedy from the Pens?

We will have someone wear #23 or #48 when we pick up someone (like the guys I mentioned) who wear those numbers.

I don't see the Sabres retiring them.
