I just bought an authentic Pominville jersey off of NHL.com and I noticed something about it...the "C" and the 29 on the front seemed to be stitched too high up. Also, the 29 on the sleeves are too high up as well. I figured this out by comparing it to my authentic Roy Jersey that I bought at the sabres store...I spoke to NHL shop and they said that I can send it back and have their customization specialists look at it, and if the specs on it are wrong they will take it as a return. Do you think they will take it back? Would I have better luck returning it to the Sabres store with the receipt from NHL.com? Any other suggestions?

I would take it to the Sabres Store first, just to see if they can do anything. I'm almost willing to say that the Sabres Store is just another branch of an NHL Shop?

i'd go down to hsbc before you send it back to nhl.com, might as well try you know? plus i don't really think nhl will do anything about it, they'd probably take one look at it and be like "ehh too much work" and just send it back to you saying it looks fine...but who knows until you try.

NHL shop blows bro. I bought a pommers jersey on there (the old vintage blue), and expected it to be this year's version with the 29 on the front... wrong.

i called and screamed about it, and they offered me two options :

return it, and have to wait 12 months for them to send a new one (thats right, 12 months, dont ask me) (also, this was during the sabres jersey frenzy back when the sabres were sweet as ######. i ordered it in october and got it in june)

my other option was to get a $5.00 refund for it, keep the jersey, and stop whining. i then told them that if they wuld just send me the numbers id pay somewhere to sew it on myself. they couldnt do that, because the nhl has all the stiching numbers/name is in a premade package
so i told him cheapest i could get a pack was $75.00 so either send me the numbers or credit me that because i ordered what was advertised, which was the jerseys with the number on the front.

the supervisor then laughed at me and said now you get nothing and hung up.

so they can kiss my ######. smile.gif

if i were you, id call the sabres store before you wasted gas going there and end up being let down

I'll stick with buying jerseys at the Sabres store or Laux.

I would never buy a named sabres jersey from Laux.

The day after the new jerseys were unveiled last year, and the Sabres store was sold out for like 3 months. Some how laux had NAMED jerseys that looked cheap as ######. In general all their sabres jerseys names look to be about 2 inches below the ccm logo which is really far down.

about 2 years ago my wife bought me a Vintage White Lafontaine Jersey for Christmas.. she went to Laux (Eastern Hills Mall) in September and asked if the jersey would be there by Christmas (she had to order it) sales person said no problem so she gave them the $170 and she waited.....

September, October November, December January, February, and finally march......nothing... she called MANY times through out and the answer was always the same. It will be here in 2 weeks.

Finally we both went there and got her money back (she told me Jan 1st what she got me and that she was still waiting for it) went to the Sabres Store paid maybe $10 more and got it mailed to us in 6 days...

I have gone to the sabres store for everything even since and i live in Lockport (with a Laux less then a mile away)

Take it to the Sabres store. It is technically an extension of "NHL store", but they will get it right.
biglukes
I almost exclusively get all my Sabres merchandise from the Sabres store.
Pantallica
i just try it before i buy it

its alot cheaper to buy it elsewhere, IE, away from the arena at a sport store

Never trust NHL Shop.com. I've seen someone wearing a teppo jersey(this years) with a "C" on it(for some odd reason, i think he though teppo would be named the captain) and i asked him where he got it and he said NHLShop.com. 1. The "C" looked like it was from the San Jose's current jersey and the stitching was horrendous. I'll stick with The Sabres Store.

It'll only matter when you try to get into parties disguised as Jason Pominville, and really, how often will that happen?

I am never buying off of NHL.com again. I sent 300 + dollars of my savings bonds ( I was 14 at the time ) and they confirmed my order of an Authentic Jason Pominville 3rd uniform ( Red with crossed Sabres ). Sure enough, time went by, and they had no idea what happened to my money or anything. I had the confirmation, but it did not matter i guess. Take it to the Sabres store where you can keep an eye on it.
