Question bout the red wings jersey....anyone know why the "C" and "A" were on the opposite side of the jersey from the rest of the NHL this year?

That's just the way Detroit chose to put them on the new edge jerseys. That's how they're going to be from now on.

Gotta say....I don't like it at all

On the Edge jerseys the tip of the wing extends too high to put the captains letters over it. If they stuck with the letter on that side it would be in the players armpit.

The Wings wore the letters on the right shoulder
prior to 1980 as well
