Icehound's talk about his #77 Ray Bourque Bruins jersey got me curious so I went to the Bruins on-line store (which is really the NHL store) to see how much it would cost. Well, first of all you have to customize the jersey, because they only have jerseys of current players. Then I saw in the fine print:

"Retired player names cannot be printed on the team's jersey from which they retired"

Now, this shouldn't apply to buying a Boston Bourque jersey, since he retired from Colorado, but has anyone else run into this?

Does than mean I can't buy a customized Gilbert Perreault Sabres jersey from the Sabres Store?

Order the jersey sans the player personalization then.

Take the jersey to anyone who does tackle twill, and they can personalize it however you want.

I believe they sell Perreault Sabres Jerseys @ the Sabres Store. It's the CCM Authentics from the 1980s, I definitely remember seeing them in stock last season. I would definitely check there if I was you.

Laux sporting goods has them at the Mckinley mall and The Walden Galleria. They have all the old players...i got a nice white perrault jersey. They cost 170 bucks. I would go there.

I wish all of you could see that Zilla is from Orlando....

if you want to do it online, i'd recommend icejerseys.com. they do a much better customization than nhl shop, and i think they look the other way when it comes to those kinds of rules...

my intperation of this was i could buy a jersey with a retired player on it(any player), but i could not buy a sabres Perreault jersey

However, you could try buying straight from the bruins store
877.5BRUINS, and they might do it for you

also, from stories icejerseys.net messes up the lettering on the jerseys
