I was actually shocked that Yahoo! emailed me, it's nice to know that people outside the Sabres' world pay attention to this stuff.

Well if we voice our outrage everytime the slug hits the ice they will be forced to phase it out, no one should buy it, need to boycott it totally and only buy the third jersey.

Yeah, now that the 3rd jersey is out and for sale I can't imagine why any Sabre fan would buy a slug.

That new 3rd is what we've been waiting for, I'm getting one for sure,
and am still proud that I haven't spent one cent on that slug, and never will!

While the slug is nowhere near as appealing as the old logo I really think people are really overstating it. Really you think it is worse than this?

I didn't say that I like the current logo. If it was my choice , I would have returned to the original logo instead of the current jersey.

However, it is an opinion that the slug 'sucks'. There are many that think it does, and many that like it.

Opinion ? 31.000 signatures on fix the logo, why don't you start a Save the Slug site , and then tell me about my so called opinion. When one faction far out weights the other , it is no longer an opinion. Come on Larry, you said your self you don't like the Slug now, take a stand and man up.

I would venture to guess that they've sold way more than 31,000 jerseys with the current logo.

It's also incorrect to assume that one faction 'out weighs the other'. While there clearly is a good number of people who don't like the logo, and have signed petitions to change it, it's fair to assume that the people who like the logo aren't starting online petitions that say they like it.

It has been well researched that when evaluating any idea that has both supporters and detractors, the detractors will be many times more vocal about their position. Just think about sports talk radio. After a loss, there's a LOT more fans that want to call in and complain then want to call in and cheer after a win. It's human nature.

I personally would like to see the logo changed. I grew up on the original blue and gold. I think the new 3rd jersey design does a great job of melding the original theme with a more modern look. But on the flip side, I'm not embarrassed to wear the existing jersey. Apparently, neither are a lot of other people.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But there are people on both sides of the fence on the logo issue.

Mine is shipping Nov. 26, you should get it late November, early December.
