I have noticed some of teams such as Toronto, Carolina and Edmonton wore there new 3rd jerseys in there season openers, and my question is why didn't the Sabres do the same thing?? It seems odd to me that they didn't.

It's because they just knew that you were gonna say something about it. Their darkest fears have been realized. You did.

If the Isles can wear white at home..why can't the Sabres ?

I'd love to see them come out in their Winter Classic Whites some cold night in January..

Recall last year we were to wear white at home against Division foes..How cool to come out after warm-ups in the Vintage Whites...

I think they did do that the last night of the season..right after Tom Galisano bought the team..no fan-fare..just got out of the black and red from the pre-game skate and came out in classic whites..

So why did the entire team wear them in the opening practice a few weeks back?

Those jerseys were made just for that. They still weren't in production. They were only made for the players. The jersey outside of the Sabres Store is an extra jersey that wasn't used by the players.

Larry Quinn said those uniforms will NEVER be worn again.

The team has their games jerseys and can play with them whenever they are scheduled to. All jerseys for public sale are still in production and will not be sold until Nov. 20th. The jersey that is on display in the store is not a left over team jersey but a prototype from Reebok.

That's exactly what it is, but this guy just wants to keep the argument going, so I'm happy to continue telling him the same thing I've heard for months now.
