out of curiosity, why was this moved to sabres hockey/jerseys when it has nothing to do with the sabres?

Ugly. Both of them.

dont think any classic jersey battles would be as good as sabres vs penguins. They both looked like something out of a story. Those two jerseys look like something out of my bathroom =/

I like the Chicago more than Detroit mostly because the Blackhawks are more authentic to the "throwback" look. Detroit's aren't exactly authentic to the original "Detroit Cougars" days when the team first started, the ones they're wearing for the game feature the current logo as a shoulder patch which is inaccurate. But at the time in 1926-27 there was no shoulder so it's not entirely a throwback. Chicago's jersey on the other hand is more authentic. They wore that jersey for the first time during the 1935-36 season. I would've liked to see both of them wear the jerseys they wore for the celebration of the NHL's 75th Anniversary.

A while back
(when everybody was complaining
about the new edge jerseys)
it was decided that all things related to uniforms
end up here

I want to know why you can buy both of these, and Pittsburgh's from last year, but you couldn't get the Sabres one with the laces.

The ones Buffalo wore last year weren't exactly authentic either. They dropped the laces after the 1977-78 season, and started using the shoulder patches the following year, but the Winter Classic jerseys had both.

I like the Detroit one. It's a big difference from their normal uni and will I'll probably pick up a Datsyuk or Zetterberg as a novelty piece of memorabilia.

Agreed on the Sabres Winter Classic...not being available with the neck-ties...WHY ???
You could get the Pens jersey just like the players wore...and currently the Rangers, Bruins, Wild et al...are sold in the authentic and the replica style with the neck laces.
Sure do wish the Sabres jersey was availalble like that. But hey it's Buffalo..
wide right, no goal..ugly Reebok slug jersey....they will get over it ??

I don't have a problem with either one, and kinda like the Blackhawks. It's somewhat refreshing to see a new hockey jersey without extra piping, five different colors under the armpit, and horizontal stripes. The world is regaining it's true axis !

I don't either, but compared to last year's BEAUTIFUL jerseys from the Pens and Sabres, they don't quite cut it.

penguins and sabres classics definitely win the competition on the jerseys, but its still nice to see the old stuff.
