Not a bad logo, but The Pirates will be keeping their own. They have been building a brand for 16 years, and keep it different from the parent club, for the unfortunate times when that changes.
...it was meant in jest. Didn't mean to offend.
Though I am considering getting a couple of "one-off" crests custom-embroidered, and getting them put on a cap and a jersey (maybe with Gerbe's or Enroth's name and number) - Simply for the novelty of it. It would be a unique hybrid.
As for "the bad times" - I would think that they're behind us; for both our respective clubs. I anticipate that, barring any calamity, the Pirates and Sabres will be aligned for many, many more years to come.
The fit is already too good, for anyone to contemplate messing with it. And a sense of mutual loyalty has started developing.
Tell you what, we'll help you win another Calder Cup if you help us win our first Stanley Cup. Deal?
Cheers.

sounds like a deal. I didn't take any offense, it was more of me sharing about my team. I've been a Pirates fan since the first year. when we affiliated with anaheim, some ducks fans didn't get why we didn't re-name the Pirates, or match their colors. They just didn't understand that we were our own entity before they came along.
I've become a Buffalo fan since we changed affiliates, as I like to watch our players move up to the show. Today, I'll be going to my third Sabres game this year, this one in Boston. It should be a lot of fun.
