Buffalo is a part of the Sabres and the Sabres are part of Buffalo, there is a lot of pride pulsating through the city and the organization, and the teams's blue and gold original sweaters are a clear reflection of that. 75,000 screaming fans in an outdoor stadium can't be wrong. they loved that sweater we wore on January 1, 2008 ..the same one we wore opening night in 1970. We are proud to give the people what they want...what we all want, and will continue to play for the logo on the front of the sweater...and the good people of Buffalo whom it represents... Go Sabres.

What is this? The 15th (exaggeration) jersey the Canucks have released, since their inception in '70-'71?

Great, great look. I love the traditional, vintage uniform and hope that the league is now realizing how old school the fans really are. We want our traditions, not the crap that's cool according to some hip designer. Good for them, good for hockey, and can't wait until we get ours unveiled, too.

They're way better than our new thirds- at least they're the right colors. The only reason our thirds are liked so much is because the slug is so bad. Anything's an improvement- even a blurrified original logo.

-Original Vancouver Jerseys.

-Flying V Mustard Jerseys, with the skate on the shoulders.

-Modified Mustard with the skate on the front, no more V covering the front of the jersey.

-Re styled Black and white Jerseys.

-New Blue and White Jerseys with the Orca C on the front.

-The current jersey's.


They are in their sixth different set of uniforms.

By comparison, we are in our third different primary jersey's; hopefully soon out of them........

This whole jersey thing is a mess. Vancover gets it right , after two tries, and puts out a self serving video. Buffalo still can't get it right time and time again.

vancouvers colour-scheme is just awesome though, too. i like buffalos blue and gold, but its not a rarity.

I think it is. The only other team with blue and gold like ours is St. Louis. The only time they got it wrong was when they tried to implement the red flare in the jersey. They quickly took it out.

Has anyone seen the new St. Louis third? Fantastic!

Have the Canucks had the most uniform changes out of any team in the NHL?

They look the exact same as there regulars.

Probably, with the Sabres and Islander close behind them.

They also had a red 3rd jersey used during the mid 90s, and a red-blue 3rd jersey shortly after the switched to the orca logo. They used 5 different jerseys in 03-04, and 4 different in 05-06, then 3 for 06-07. Those 3 years they used a combination of jerseys from the inaugural design and the orca design.

that depends on what you count as a change. Technically the Blackhawks have gone through 12 different jersey changes but about half of those were them just changing the size of the logo on the chest or a slight color tweek. If your just looking at major changes,like new logo or obvious stripping change, a team like Boston has 9, Montreal has 10, Pittsburgh has 7, etc.

Maybe it's because it's what I grew up with, but I always liked the skate jersey. I'd like to see that recolored into the current blue/green color scheme.
